This course teaches a practical and basic means of self-defence, which anyone can put into practice if ever in a threatening situation. The course is structured to give confidence if faced with the possibility of attack, this is done through the use of common sense and the different levels of conflict management up to and including aggression if all else fails. The course always teaches and keeps within the guidelines of the law.
Course instructors are first Aid trained, insured and hold a current self-defence instructors certificate. To comply with safety all courses will involve warm up exercises and warm up stretching, which will be lead by a qualified fitness instructor.
It is expected that on completion of the course all students will have a sound knowledge of what is safe practice regarding self-defence and the confidence to manage difficult situations.
Note - Students are not expected to be fit for this course and it is open to all levels of fitness and ability. Any individual requirements or needs will need to be discussed before the start of the course.
